Condo at Harrison Pointe in Fort Myers

Hello! My family and I are planning on a month in Fort Myers in July 2007. Kids are 9, 7, and 2.5. We love bike riding, going to the beach, going to parks, and regular city stuff like movies and museums.

I%26#39;ve never rented a place for this long before -- hoping it will be a great way to have some focused family time away from the grind of work and home responsibilities.

We%26#39;re not familiar with the Fort Myers area...I did read one post that referred to Fort Myers Beach for ';tacky fun.'; So, my question is really about this area -- are we talking Wisconsin Dells tacky? Or just relative to Naples it%26#39;s tacky? Will we be just miserable from the humidy and giant bugs? (We%26#39;re used to the humidity in the midwest...but the bugs are nice and small).

Also, is anyone familiar with Heritage Pointe? The owner of our unit that we%26#39;re considering is Andres Luzio.

Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

Happened to see your post when I was looking for something else on the Fort Myers forum. Just want to say that your children (well, at least the older two) are the ideal age for a trip to Sanibel Island. There are 25 miles of paved biking trails over there (flat) and you can also rent bikes with carriers for your youngest child. At the very least, do consider going over for one full day. Better yet, you may want to check it out for a week. It%26#39;s truly a, ';get away from it all'; kind of place...undeveloped and natural yet with all the conveniences you might require with a young family. You would truly feel as though you were away from ';the grind!'; on Sanibel.
