Confused -which Space Centre tickets to buy

Should we buy tickets direct from Kennedy SC website or from a broker? Has anyone done the %26#39;Lunch with an astronaut%26#39; and if so, would you recommend it? What about the NASA Up Close/Private tour? This will be our %26#39;trip of a lifetime%26#39; (14 days in Florida) so naturally we want to do and see as much as we can but not waste money on not-so-memorable events/tours. Our 8yr old son is space-crazy so any advice on how to get the most out of the day trip to KSC would be much appreciated. Thanks!

if your son is space crazy i would suggest you do the dine option as you have said this is your trip of a life time he would love it, my father is also into nasa and did not do the dine option when we went and he regretted it alot fortunatly we are going back so he has booked this option, we have booked our tickets through www.viator.com used them before and would recommend them to all....

We bought our direct from Kennedy, the benefit, which I didn%26#39;t realise at the time, is that they don%26#39;t actually take your money for them until you arrive at the space centre, handy if you want to spread the cost of all your tickets out a bit.

Hi

Last year we spent a day at KSC and only opted for the maximum access pass. we had a great day and would definately recommend it.

Unfortunately i cant give any information on the higher passes, but definately spend a day there, if your son has an interest in space, he will have a great time.

Many thanks for all your tips. I%26#39;ve just looked at viator.com - is it right that they only issue vouchers, not tickets? Does this mean we need to collect tickets at the gate? I%26#39;m wondering if long queues will be an issue - we%26#39;ll do the day trip on 29th March? I will book the %26#39;space pass%26#39; option which includes the lunch, presumably the reservation will be automatic for the date I selected ie I don%26#39;t need to do any more?? Sorry about all the questions, I just want to get it right to minimise fuss when we get there.

Are you driving to KSC yourself or going on an organised bus trip?

We are hiring a car for the full 2 weeks. By the way, any tips on good websites for car rental? We%26#39;ll pick up from Orlando airport. Thanks.

Choc,

It wasn%26#39;t that busy when we arrived, there were a good number of booths open. Being out of Orlando it isn%26#39;t mad busy like the Disney parks. Queues were fine, only 3-4 people in front of us, and very efficient ticket staff.

That%26#39;s great news, thanks Peachyprice.

we%26#39;e goiing to be there President%26#39;s week (Feb 17 - 24) and we went to carrentalmomma.com and got a thrifty economy at $120/week.

thanks to TA, we got this great site from another TA member. btw, we didn%26#39;t rent till 2 weeks ago, so considering that it%26#39;s supposed to be a very busy week, we still got the car for an awesome price!

Wow, that is a good rate, I%26#39;ll check out the website now. Thanks a million, Mango58.
