I haven%26#39;t been to Sarasota although plan to this year. However, the knowledge that I have to date is that you won%26#39;t get a decent curry anywhere in the states. Any English friends/colleagues that have re-located have all said the same!

However, we did find a great Chinese buffet (this was on international drive though) but there do seem to be several. Mexican is nice, some dishes are spicy and hot if you prefer. I would save yourselves until you return, as something to look forward to, to help those coming-back-from-holiday blues.

We have a nice Indian restaurant on the corner of Beneva Rd and Clark Rd in the Beneva Village shopping Center. You can satisfy your Curry fix there!

It%26#39;s called the Tandoor Indian Restaurant.

Many thanks for that will certainly visit there when we come on holiday, we love to visit Sarasota and have recommended it lots of our friends in England, especially like having a coffee in the book store and chatting to the locals they are so welcoming , once again thanks much appreciated.

Laura,

There are many coffee shops to enjoy here in SRQ. (There are also tea rooms) Have a good trip.........

I know you don%26#39;t mean this, but there are fantastic Thai restaurants in Sarasota, with Thai curries. Bangkok is our favorite on Proctor and Tuttle.

oh wait! silly me! what about chutney%26#39;s? great indian/middle eastern food! it%26#39;s on hillview, near the hospital. good curries there! makes me hungry just thinking about it...

Same for us on Bangkok, fabulous food, just loved it .

Get there early though as the locals start eating dinner aroung 4pm and it fills up fast.

We%26#39;re going back there in May for another feast.
