Magic Kingdom Parking

I will have a rental car and will be staying off-site. I have read that the Contemporary Resort is closest to MK. Is it possible to just park at the Contem. Resort%26#39;s parking lot and take monorail from the resort? OR will I HAVE to park at TTC then take the tram-monarail-park? Do you have any inside tips on getting to/from MK to car quicker?

You will have to park in the main lot. We were staying on site and were not able to use the hotel parking for more than a couple of hours.

It does not take that long.

If you are a AAA member, and are getting your tickets from them (they are cheaper) they will give you a special parking pass that allows you to park in a special area closer to the Monerail.

With the AAA parking if your not there with-in the first hour of when the park opens all the parking is taken and you have to park with all the other cars.

When parking in the main MK lot (in front of the TTC), the best advise is to get to the parking lot around 7:30 AM when the ';gates'; open on non-EMH days.

This will give you front row or second row parking and it%26#39;s the shortest distance between the lot and MK. You can then board the resort monorail and ride around for a while if you prefer (the express monorail to MK won%26#39;t be running that early and neither will the ferry boat).
