Virgin Disney check in

I thought I would get your views on the Virgin Downtown Disney check in.

Nemmis said he found it very useful as it gives you a fair bit of extra time.

Would be grateful for a few pointers on this one ie:

What time does it open and what is the best time to get there.

Many thanks in advance.

Why do virgins get to check in early? That%26#39;s not really fair to the rest of us!

Virgin Disney check in

We used the desk back in December and it really made our last day one we could enjoy rather than driving around in a car full of luggage and having to spend half the day at the airport.

I%26#39;m sure it is open from 8 till 1 and costs $5 per person , but really is worth it. We got there at 10 am and it was empty. It took around twenty minutes to complete and we didn%26#39;t need to get to the airport till an hour and a half before take off, leaving us free to take one last stroll around Downtown, a bit of shopping and a last meal in The Cheesecake Factory.

We are going back in April and have booked the later flight home this time with the intention off using the desk so on our last day we can go to a park.

It%26#39;s a really good idea - and you don%26#39;t have to pay the $5 charge if you are a Virgin Holidays customer. The charge mainly relates to a flight only passengers, but if you are a Flying Club Gold member it%26#39;s also free!

Many thanks for the replies.

We fly back @ 21:30 so this service will be a great help, as we can make the best of our last day which is always a bit of a downer at the best of times.

We used it on our last holiday and as we were with Virgin holidays it was free,

We got there at 09.00 and there was a bit of a queuebut so worth it as it makes the last day one of pleasure and not of dragging loads of cases around.

They will still check the weight of your bags though.

Merseybeans - if your flight is going at that time, you could spend the final day at Seaworld. We often do that and it%26#39;s a relaxing but fun way to finish your holiday.

The Virgin check in service is worth its weight in gold and, for the sake of an hour or so, worth it as it frees up your entire last day. Situated in the car park behind the megastore/cinema/la nouba end at DTD.

its a really good thing to use, we got there at around 9 hardly anyone there, had a last look around dtd then went off and had a buffet dinner, it does save so much time, we went last in dec 2005 and they didn%26#39;t weigh our cases then
