visiting with small children and need dinner advice

My husband and 2 children ages 1 and 5 will be visiting in February. Can anyone suggest some good restaraunts that are child freindly but have good food? On our way back North we will have our other two children who are older. All four are very adventuresome eaters. Thank you in advance for your help.

Lucky you...with adventuresome eaters! Try these kid friendly places:

--Columbia for Lunch only - nice kids menu and good food and sangrias

--McKnights Public House - very kid friendly and great food--lunch and dinner and amazing breakfasts. Ice cream fountain.

They also have a larger restaurant/dinner theater over the Bridge of Lions- on a pretty day you can walk over. nice kids menu and larger menu for adults. Excellent seafood, pasta and such. Entertainment at no charge most nights. The Leprechaun visits kids often. A fun enchanted eating area for families, too.

--New Pizzaalleys ';Chianti ROOM'; off St. george. What kid does not love pizza and pasta. For Pizzaalleys, you can eat in the alcove between the two restaurants and kids love the trees and picnic tables.

--Pizza Time - Very casual for lunch but has great pizza--St George Street.

--A1A Aleworks has a nice kids menu. If you can go early on a weeknight and get a table upstairs near the aquariums, that would be great. Nice kids menu and eclectic menu.

--On a nice day kids like Caps on the Water, in Ponte Vedra area. It is located on the intercoastal and kids can play on the beach while parents sit outside. Nice place. I think the food is just mediocre but the views are worth it.

--AVOID the Santa Maria like the plague. A total tourist trap. Likewise, Barnacle Bills and the ';chains'; here. Too many good places to spend your money there.

Have a great trip!

Kids (and partents) like the food at the Florida Cracker Cafe on St. George (nearer the Old City Gates end) - if it is nice you can sit outside on picnic tables. It is good food, and not expensive.

For breakfast, Athena%26#39;s on Cathedral Street (on the main plaza in downtown) is kid friendly towards kids. I know my family takes my

grandson there and he is three.
