I am flying into Fort Lauderdale but staying at Best Western -South Beach. Any ideas for cheap transportation for 1 person. How long a ride is it? Any suggestions are helpful. They don%26#39;t have a shuttle at hotel.

Check the Miami International Airport website. I think MiamiTransit, the bus line, has a ride from there, but I%26#39;m not sure. For one person, it%26#39;s tough. Good luck!

Really the only cheap method is to take the bus. You can either pay $80 for a taxi, and it will take you something like an hour. Or you can take Bus Line #1 from Ft. Lauderdale Airport, go until the last stop at Aventura Mall, transfer to Miami Dade line S headed towards Collins Ave/Downtown Miami, and finally exit in South Beach (I think the Best Western is on 41st or something like that). If you take the transfer it will cost you $2.50 and take about 2 hours.
Can%26#39;t you take a train from Ft. Lauderdale down to Miami pretty inexpensively?
Tri County Express has a shared ride shuttle for 18.00 one way to south beach. I%26#39;ve tried it and have no complaints, the website is floridalimo.com
