Magic Hours this coming weekend?

I bet I%26#39;m the only one that can%26#39;t figure this out, but the Disney site says that Magic Hours apply to Epcot this Friday evening and Magic Kingdom this Sunday evening. Then it says Magic Hours extend evening hours by 1 to 3 hours.

So would anyone know if, this friday - the parks close 1 or 3 hours later? I%26#39;m guessing only 1.

The Morning Extra Magic Hours the park opens 1 hours early...the nightime EMH the parks stay open 3 hours later.

I think it depends on the posted closing time of the park. For Epcot, it should be at least two or three hours after closing at 9:00 on Friday.

For M.K. on Sunday, since it%26#39;s a special weekend (Superbowl), they may very well do the entire three hours, but I%26#39;ll bet they do at least two hours as well.

You may not really know how many extra hours you%26#39;ll get until you get to the park. It may depend on expected crowds too and Disney resort capacity.

I probably should add that the evening EMH is anywhere from 1 to 3 hours, depending on the day and park and official closing time of the park, and also expected crowd levels.

The EMH may be 1 hour, 2 hours, or 3 hours and it%26#39;s up to Disney to decide how many hours they will do the EMH for on a given evening. Most times, they do give the full 3 hours.

Well, they%26#39;ve only been doing EMH for two years now, and I%26#39;ve only partcipated in three evening EMH during that time.

However, those three evenings we did it, they did do the full three hours.

We do mostly the morning EMHs, as I%26#39;m usually falling asleep at 9:00 PM (my normal bedtime).

9 PM, that%26#39;s when the nightlife is just starting.

Well, I%26#39;m a little past the age for much nightlife anyway. When we wind up staying at the parks for either Illuminations or Wishes, I%26#39;m usually falling asleep on the way back to the hotel.

I%26#39;m an early riser (5:00 AM), so 9:00 PM bedtimes are my norm. Can%26#39;t seem to get the body clock adjusted for vacations either, so I%26#39;m usually keeping those same hours then too.

So this Sunday, MK will definitely be open until 10pm with Magic Hours, but could be open as late as Midnight? And you won%26#39;t know until you get there Sunday morning? Sound right?

Yep, that sounds correct.

I think, for the most part, they do try to give the full three hours.
