Has anyone rented a locker at Magic Kingdom? If I read the map correctly, they are located just as you enter - to the right.
Are they self-serve and do you need exact bills - I understand it is $7.00. Or do you stand in line and get a key from an attendant? I%26#39;d like to know in advance if it is going to take a long time.
Thanks

It%26#39;s not self serve. There%26#39;s a little store beside the lockers. You give the clerk the $, %26amp; they give you a key. At the end of the day, return the key, %26amp; get deposit $ back. Sorry, I can%26#39;t remember if they give back $5, or $2.

Thanks Potato,
Did it take very long? From what I%26#39;ve read, you get $2 back. Not bad. I%26#39;d like to drop some stuff off and get to the fun stuff quickly so I%26#39;m hoping there isn%26#39;t a long, long line first thing in the morning.
It didn%26#39;t take very long for us-but we were there on a tues. morning in January. It doesn%26#39;t get any lower season than that! It might also be the same line as the stroller %26amp; wheelchair rental-I%26#39;m not sure, because my husband rented the locker, %26amp; we never rented a stroller or wheelchair. You might want to ask others, %26amp; include the time of year you%26#39;re going. The biggest pain we found with the lockers is that you have to go all the way back to the entrance to get your stuff. So for example, we put our sweaters in there, for the cool evening. When it started to get cool, we had to walk all the way to the entrance, %26amp; then back into the park. I don%26#39;t know why they don%26#39;t have lockers throughout the park. They would get a lot of use.
Anyone know if the lockers work like the stroller rental as far as if you rent on in one Disney park can you then turn the key back in and use your receipt to get one in another Disney park on the same day?
Stroller and locker rental are not done at the same location, I%26#39;m not sure but I think you got to pay for a new locker if you go to another park.
As long as you keep your receipt when you turn in your key at one park, you can get another locker at your next stop on the same day - no extra charge. Haven%26#39;t done it, but that%26#39;s what the Disney site says.
That is great! Thanks! Is it the general feeling that it is safe to leave valuables in these lockers such as cameras?
Your at a theme park, why would you leave your camera in the locker, if your not going to use it why drag it with you in the first place.
Well, because there might be rides that I would like to ride and not have to worry about the protection of the camera. I didn%26#39;t mean the camera would be left there all day obviously it would be silly to bring it to leave it in locker for the entire time.
Tprpsp,
i see why you think that looks like a silly question but i have used the lockers to put my camera and camcorder in when going on a couple of wet rides and then got to back to move onto something else ..
heth, you should be safe enough leaving anything in the lockers, we have never had any problems and dont know of anyone else that has either :-)
it sounds like you are getting there with the planning! :-)
