We are booked! Port Orleans, Riverside - quick question

We are finally booked after weeks of struggling with where to stay, etc. Just as an FYI to anyone that is looking to book, I saved $250 booking over the phone with a Disney agent by using the Spring Discount code in mousesavers. I also got a free upgrade to the park hopper and water park option. You can%26#39;t use the code on-line.

Quick question about Port Orleans Riverside:

What is the best building, floor, room, etc. to stay in? We have a standard room. I plan to call back in put in a preference as soon as I get feedback from others. I guess I%26#39;m looking for a best room location with a 4 year old in mind. Thanks!

We were very happy with Magnolia Terrace. We were right by the bridge to Old Man Island, which has the pool %26amp; playground. The food court was just on the other side of the island. There are buses near the foodcourt but the closer bus stop for our building was across the parking lot.

Sunlover,

I stayed twice in the Alligator Bayou section of POR this past autumn and I personally like the section better than the mansion side. Also, the room in A.B. have been recently renovated, but the mansions are still undergoing renovations.

If you stay in Alligator Bayou, you%26#39;re best building choices for being close to the main building are buildings #14, #15, and #18. Also, for nearly all the Alligator Bayou buildings, except for just a few, you don%26#39;t have to cross the river to get to the main building (they are on the same side of the river).

If staying in the mansions section, you%26#39;re closest buildings for access to the main building are Oak Manor (closest to the bridge over the river to the main building) and Parterre Place.

Kat - Do you know what buildings in the mansion section have been remodeled?

No, unfortunately I%26#39;m not sure which mansion buildings have been remodeled/renovated recently.
