ok, so i know the %26#39;official%26#39; word is that you cant share... and i figure we wouldnt get away with it at table service but what about counter service? anyone tried this?
we have never taken the dining plan before and so not sure exactly how we would use it but the current thinking is that we plan to mainly use our counter service meals to have decent breakfasts and if we could share it would mean having extra counter service credits to use for some lunches as well ... plus we could use a spare counter service credit for dinner one night and leave ourselves 2 table credits to be used for one of the posh meals :-)
any thoughts?

Disney Dining Plan - Sharing?
It is easy to share the counter service meals because it is just like going to any McDonalds - you go to the counter and order what you order. They%26#39;ll swipe your ticket which will remove the appropriate number of meals. Our teens often go off on their own so they do not necessarily eat when we eat but that has never been a problem - when they order, their meals are deducted at that time. All of the tickets are tied together so for our family of six: there are six table service, six, counter service, %26amp; six snacks per day. But when we order, they do not need all six tickets to deduct the credits - they only need one.
So you could very easily go to Cosmic Ray (Magic Kingdom) or Flame Tree Barbeque (Animal Kingdom) and order one of their chicken entrees that is quite large. You might be able to use the snack credits for an extra side, if you need one, or you can always buy an extra side.
Here is a link you really should look at: www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1109080
It gives the list of items you can get with your snack credits and it organizes them by location. This way, you use the credits well and they can be a light meal. Just buy your soda or water, if you need to.

I think the table service is the only place they really don%26#39;t allow sharing, which makes sense since these are the most expensive of the credits.
After all, how can they stop you sharing counter service or snacks? Typically only one person gets the food for the entire family anyway.
