Any restaurant recommendations within walking distance?

Hi there,

We%26#39;re doing a fly-drive trip late April this year and got a deal on the La Playa. Having read the reviews, it sounds like it%26#39;s a bit %26#39;away from it all%26#39;. Does anyone have a restaurant recommendations or know of any restaurants that are within walking distance (say 10-15 mins walk) please? Also, it%26#39;s our fifth anniversary while we%26#39;re away and I wondered if anyone could recommend somewhere special to eat that evening? Any advice/ recommendations gratefully received.

The Turtle Club is within 10-15 minutes walk directly south of La Playa. You can reserve there on opentable.com. It%26#39;s right on the beach, I haven%26#39;t had dinner there in a few years so I can%26#39;t comment. Maybe there are some reviews on tripadvisor.com. You also could go the the Ritz. They have the Grill room and the Restaurant. Both very nice, very expensive! The Ritz is another 10 minute walk past The Turtle Club. You could also take a cab probably pretty inexpensively. There is a Japanese Steak House called DaRuma across the street from the Ritz entrance. It%26#39;s a fun place....you also have The Lighthouse Restaurant which is a casual, bayfront burgers/fish sandwiches type of place. It%26#39;s located about across the street from the Turtle Club. It%26#39;s very casual.

Thanks for tips. It%26#39;s good to know that we won%26#39;t have to use the car all time. I was getting a bit worried by some of the comments on the hotel reviews! Do you know if there%26#39;s anywhere to get a reasonably priced breakfast not far from the hotel at all?

The Seawitch is in that area and is very good. When I was there in Sept. it was closed for renovations. Check to see if they%26#39;ve reopened.
