To LN re: Ocean Gallery

Thanks for your reply. Ocean Gallery is quite expensive with 40 acrs and tons of amenities including 5 pools. But if you never heard of it - it would be great if you can recommend 2 or 3 properties that are oceanfront in the area.

Thanks once again

To LN re: Ocean Gallery

Top two hotels on the beaches (Vilano and St. Augustine Beaches) are Castillo Real and Casa Del Mar - read their reviews and you can choose. However, it sounds like that Ocean Gallery place has lots going on from what you say above. I don%26#39;t know you or your family so perhaps you need those amenities for your vacation. Some people like the ';full resort'; type vacation. It is not cheap, you say, so probably it is okay.

I also don%26#39;t know when you are planning on visiting. If it is winter here, who knows if it will even be Beach weather. Today is high 50%26#39;s and will be in the 20%26#39;s tonight for several nights they say.. If a cold Nor%26#39; easterly is coming through it will be very cold and windy at the beach.

In the historic district, there is much to do day and night - the beach is dead at night. You will be isolated at the beach.........nothing much but the beach. If you stay in the town, and if there is a good beach day, you can go for the day or go every day and enjoy a public beach.

Now, if you are coming in the summer months, you may indeed want to stay at the beach, more to do in the summer months.

In the historic district, the way to go, in my opinion, is a B %26amp; B. Be Sure to read all reviews on any place you are thinking of staying PRIOR to booking.

Just know that the beach is only the beach; not that many good restaurants that you can walk to from hotels - usually have to drive to them.

You can walk to everything in the historic district - no need to drive everywhere. That way you won%26#39;t have to worry about drinking and driving, either. You will love our fair city !

If you like the resort - amenities, type vaca (and I realize many people do) you may want to stay at the Ocean Gallery place.

P.S. World Golf Village is NOT the historic district..........not even St. Augustine.
